No. A prescription is not necessary. We can perform eye examinations in our store. We emphasize that we are optometrists and not ophthalmologists. We do not treat vision pathologies and eye diseases. At the slightest doubt, we will refer you directly to a specialist.
For certain types of corrections, intervention from an ophthalmologist is necessary. Our eye examinations are valid for reimbursement from most mutual insurance companies. But to obtain reimbursement from the National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (NIHDI), Medicalia or Hospitalia, you will need a doctor's prescription.
Yes.
A prescription is valid for 6 months.
Yes, we perform eye examinations. The price of an examination is €50. This fee is waived if followed by the purchase of corrective lenses.
No, we do not offer glasses for children. For that, we recommend visiting the Optic & Vision boutique at 38 Avenue Louise in 1050 Brussels, which offers a very wide selection of children's frames.
Yes. Here is a summary of all our warranties. For a complete explanation, please visit our store. These warranties are included in the price of the glasses and are only valid for glasses provided by our store.
Adaptation Guarantee
All our glasses, whether single-vision or multifocal, come with a one-month guarantee against adaptation problems. This guarantee can be extended in case of difficulties getting to the store.
2-Year Legal Warranty
All our glasses come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Breakage Guarantee
Our high-end glasses are guaranteed for 1 year against breakage. Other glasses are guaranteed for 2 years. Certain types of lenses are guaranteed against breakage. See conditions in store.
Treatment Guarantee
Anti-reflective treatments on all our lenses are guaranteed for 3 years.
Theft Guarantee
Certain types of lenses are guaranteed against theft. See conditions in store.
Please note: scratches on lenses and/or frames are never covered by any warranty.
Yes, we offer equipment eligible for the 100% Health scheme, with no out-of-pocket costs according to your health insurance.
We work with the majority of health insurance providers and can verify your coverage in store.
The delivery time depends on the type of lenses:
• Single-vision stock lenses: 1 hour
• Single-vision non-stock lenses: 24 hours
• Progressive, degressive, tinted lenses: 5 working days
• High-index lenses: 10 working days
These timeframes may vary depending on the production centers' workload. Before delivery, our fittings undergo very strict quality controls. We only provide you with glasses that have passed 100% of our quality checks.
Yes, we offer specific lenses to protect your eyes from screens.
No, as there are many stores in Brussels that specialize in glasses for social services and are much more familiar with the reimbursement systems than we are. Depending on your municipality of residence, we will be happy to refer you to one of these opticians.
Lens prices vary greatly depending on your prescription. During your visit, we will offer you lenses at different price points while explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
Our prices range from €100 for a frame to several hundred euros. The majority of our products fall within the €350 – €700 range.
Yes, adjustments and minor repairs are generally free of charge, or may be chargeable depending on where you purchased your glasses. In case of glasses that are too fragile, we will refer you back to the store that provided them to you.

Yes, we offer daily, monthly, and prescription-specific contact lenses.
It depends on its compliance. Please feel free to bring it to us for verification.
Yes, the majority of our sunglasses models can be fitted with corrective lenses.
We recommend cleaning with lukewarm water using mild soap and a microfiber cloth. Avoid dish soap products which are abrasive and make lenses cloudy.
An appointment is not mandatory, but recommended for an eye exam or personalized consultation.
Yes.
In-store purchases are not refundable.
Non-prescription sunglasses: exchange period is two weeks. The frame must be returned in perfect condition and ready for sale. We can also exchange them for a gift voucher valid for one year.
Frames with prescription lenses: non-exchangeable.
Contact lenses: exchangeable within 1 week provided the box has not been opened.
Yes, we offer tax refunds directly at the airport. We work with Global Blue. We can also process the tax refund at the store upon your return. In both cases, the documents provided must be in perfect compliance.
